Questions!?
What makes your products sustainable?

What info do you provide for sellers?
How do you help the Fundraising Coordinators?
Why use Sustainable Fundraising?
I am not doing a fundraiser, where can I order your products?
Are your products made in New Zealand?
I have a question not answered here.
Our main criteria for sustainability comes down to three questions:
- Does the product reduce waste, especially plastic waste?
- Does it offer a way to reuse a frequently disposable product?
- Can it be recycled at the end of its life? Also, how successful is this likely to be in Aotearoa?
Some secondary questions we ask are:
- Will it fit in to my life (allowing for a period of adjustment lol)?
- Will it support like minded business practices?
Sustainable Fundraising provides eco-friendly items that you can use to raise funds for your school or organisation. There are a few ways you can fundraise with these popular items, via campaigns or events.
Online Ordering method: You can run an Online Fundraising Campaign by itself, or in conjunction with paper Order Forms for best results. This type of campaign works best when you have a strong online presence, and a network of people who are comfortable with social media and online shopping.
Once you have registered with us, your supporters can purchase directly from our store, and nominate your school/group to receive the fundraising profit. This applies for every item purchased at our 'Shop & Donate' store, www.sustainablefundraising.nz, or shopanddonate.co.nz all the time.
During your set campaign dates, shoppers can use a custom discount code, for free shipping to your school/group at a prearranged date.
If your supporters are scattered through Aotearoa, or you do not have the capacity or means to distribute orders in bulk, then online orders will be sent individually to their address within 3-5 days of purchase.
At the end of the campaign, we will provide you with a list of all the online orders taken during your campaign. We add these to any order form totals. You will be invoiced for all the purchased items, shipping, and online processing fees and payment is due before we deliver two weeks later.
Once we deliver, you distribute the orders out to your supporting families - maybe an opportunity for a fundraising Sausage Sizzle collection day :p
Order Form method: This is the most effective fundraising method and is well suited to all groups that have a dedicated fundraising coordinator. A colourful info pack and accompanying order form goes home with each student/member. They gather orders and money during the campaign, then you collate the orders at the end, and place your order with us. Within two weeks, your order will be delivered directly to your school, for you to distribute to families.
For Order Form campaigns, we will invoice you for the total, plus shipping, due before delivery. You will be responsible for all money collection and handling, although if you have run this campaign online as well, we also will have collected funds on your behalf.
Stall/Display Method: Sustainable Fundraising products make wonderful stall items - they are bright, cheerful and easy to take home and put to use. We've been doing event based fundraising for years and know that you need easy products and a simple process. This is as simple as it gets - set up a sustainable fundraising stand at your next school event, purchase what you think you will sell, and return any unsold items afterwards for a refund.
Take Home Method: This method can be used by enthusiastic individual fundraisers, or groups that host regular market day stands. Fundraising participants take a selection of chosen products to sell through their networks. This method requires prepayment. Minimums apply, and there is no sale on return.
Product Campaigns There is NO upfront cost for schools and most community groups, for paper and online order forms. You pay for the products once your orders are collated, based on the orders you take in. Due date is the date of dispatch.
Stalls & Display Campaigns For Fundraising Events you DO pay in advance for most products, or at least a deposit. Any unsold products can be returned in their original condition, after the event, for a refund.
Sample Packs Not usually. We will invoice you for the sample pack, due within 14 days unless you return the pack to us prior.
The cost of the Sample Pack is fully refundable on return and we can provide a return courier ticket on request.
Individual / Informal Fundraisers Our purpose is to help fund groups so they in turn can support individuals in the community. If you are an individual fundraiser, you will need to supply proof of your fundraising venture and prepay the total prior to delivery. Minimums apply and we reserve the right to refuse to supply.
Returns Your groups will always have to cover the cost of returning the unsold items to us at the end, so hopefully your community support your event so much that there is nothing to return :)
Online Payment Processing Charges: We charge 3.5% of ALL online orders taken by sustainablefundraising.nz to cover the the processing fees we pay. This fee will be included on your invoice, deducted from your fundraising profit amount. We are investigating a user-pays fees system, and are open to alternative ideas if you have them!
Is there a delivery fee?
Yes, in most cases. When you place your final campaign order we will calculate the best shipping rate based on the order size and your location. This cost will be added to your invoice. We have strong long-term freight networks and do our best to keep shipping as low as possible.
Each product sold makes a great profit for your school, ranging from $3 to $6.50.
Just as importantly, these campaigns are going to make a big difference to the way we treat our earth. Every Sustainable Fundraising product makes a difference: some will reduce landfill contents, by swapping single use plastic for reusable, longer lasting materials, and others encourage nature's most excellent methods of bringing sustainable balance.
What info do you provide for sellers?
Your sellers receive product information sheets, letters and order forms to take home, as
For fairs we offer display boxes and bright, reusable bunting.
We can provide a sample box for the office or another designated display area, as well as content for your own website, for emails, and letters. We're also developing heaps of additional resources, including letter templates, fundraising tips, tally sheets and address labels.

Why use Sustainable Fundraising?
Products: The products are simple, helpful, and attractive. They're great for us and our world, so are easy to sell. We buy local where possible and keep our overheads low, so the purchase prices are just as attractive!
Processes: Often the organising and admin of a fundraiser can suck the all joy out of your good deed (and time & energy!). We hope to have some of that work from you, with the campaign templates and personal customer service, so you'll smile at the end!
Support: The entire Fundraising team, led by Katie & Kirsty, is excited and committed to your fundraiser with you. If you've worked with us before you'll know it to be true - the real value here is in our experience, support and commitment to kiwi fundraisers.
Satisfaction: Knowing your efforts have not only reduced waste, but raised money for your school, project or goal!? Can't beat that feeling.
Everyone around you! These products are all really friendly, and you will find people want them around. We suggest you try your family and friends first, then get all connected whanau to take the order forms to their workplaces, clubs and social circles.

We don't hide where they're from, so you could go support them instead.
The difference with us is that we share out profits to your nominated school or group.
